I'm known among my friends and family as a health freak. I'm not quite sure how that happened because while I do consider myself to be reasonably healthy, I don’t think I’m a freak. However, this got me to thinking because health truly is a large part of my lifestyle.
To me,
Healthy Living is avoiding harm, and actively nourishing your mind, body, and spirit.
Additionally,
Healthy living is having the curiosity to discover what is nourishing and harmful and intentionally adding or removing things from your life as is fit.
My journey towards healthy began in 2007, when I began experiencing some mental health issues. The more I experimented with diet, exercise, and mental and spiritual examinations the more I realized that this consciously cognizant way of living had a direct impact on my mental health. I have found that when I am a whole healthy person I can be a blessing (not a burden) to those that I love. I want to bring good into the world, and I can't do that very well if I'm stuck in my own "issues". I have made almost a full recovery in regards to my mental health and I am a firm believer that it was due to my non-harm, nourishment way of living.
I and am on full-fledged journey to find what my healthy is and I would love to be part of your journey to find yours. As Steve Jobs said:

What are some decisions,
you have made to eliminate harm or add nourishment to your life?
